Dan, who joined the Barakel staff in 1970, works in maintenance. Judy came to Barakel in 1962 and works in the East Side Kitchen. They have three adult children, Stacy, Kevin, and Cathy.

12/4/2007 — Dan and Judy want to share this paper their son Kevin wrote about Uncle Johnnie for a college class.
Dear friends,
We are sitting here by the window. There are chickadees, sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, juncos, nuthatches, finches, and one we don’t know. Grosbeaks will be here shortly as they pass through.
Judy is doing better so we thank you for your prayers and concern. She has to wear ankle supports because her ankle never got completely well, but well enough.
As most of you know, we live in a duplex. Well, they tore the one next to us down. They will have it rebuilt this summer. It was in great need, believe me.
Alissa’s baby is over 12 pounds now and is a little chunk. He was born January 22, 2007
The new Heritage Lodge is finished and in use. It is beautiful.
We want to thank you for all the support you have been to us. We are grateful for all the years you have helped us to stay here at Barakel. Continue to pray for us too.
