Who learns the most?

During the summer much of our effort was put into mentoring the eighty college-age summer staff as they worked with campers. One of our favorite stories is what a young boy camper said while he had a fish hook embedded into his arm. As the nurse and counselor worked that hook out, the teary-eyed camper said, "This is nothing compared to what my Savior Jesus went through for me." The counselor told me that story with tears in his eyes. We're certain that the counselor learned more than the camper.

The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Matthew 9:37-38

Phyllis helped oversee the camp store this summer. She discovered it was a great way to build into the lives of the young gals who assisted her.

How exciting to see our children involved in the ministry. Lydia was a life-guard at the waterfront. She spent four weeks being part of the Tech and Engineer program. She was encouraged in her faith and is currently leading a Bible study with a friend from school.
