For more than fifty years, whenever and wherever former campers and
staff get together, they sing the camp song. We still use it at
every camp and retreat — in fact it's usually the first song we
sing at the first Chapel.
We are grateful to a former camper and counselor from the late 1940s
who wrote the words and music to this song. Nadyne Lyons Miller
gave her life as a missionary soon after writing these words
— she served in Japan until her death.

This song was sung by a former camper in an Apollo space capsule
orbiting the earth. One person told us he met a former camper
in Nairobi Kenya, and they sang this song with smiles on their
faces.
