Winter Teen Retreats
"A weekend at Barakel aimed at fixing your focus on Christ"
|
We have eight weekends scheduled during the prime Michigan winter season and they offer a terrific opportunity for outdoor recreation, fellowship, evangelistic outreach and spiritual growth. Our winterized facilities, forested grounds and recreation options provide an ideal winter retreat location. And the price for the weekend is just $95 per person ($40 registration deposit and $55 due when you arrive). The program begins on Friday evening with winter outdoor activities, then a Chapel session with the speaker. Saturday has a full schedule of winter sports: tubing (featuring a rope-tow), cross-country skiing (6 miles of trails), skating (one rink for hockey, one just for fun), snowshoeing, snow football, broomball, ice fishing and a gameroom. Saturday morning has a chapel session, and the day finishes with Chapel followed by a group discussion time with your students. One more Chapel session will be held Sunday morning. Seven of the weekends allow you to bring Junior High and Senior High students as one combined group. One weekend (January 25-27) we will house Junior High students and Senior High students in separate facilities, and each age group will have a separate speaker. Three weekends (February 15-17, 22-24, and March 1-3) we will use the housing in both of our facilities but meet together for one combined Chapel. See our schedule page to see other events we are hosting this winter.
