Dads and sons, grandfathers and grandsons — come enjoy a weekend
getaway-spend time together in God's creation, slow down a
little and reflect on what God has said in His Word. Bring as
many sons as you have, as long as they are at least six years
of age.
The northern Michigan Januarys turn Camp Barakel into a winter
playground, and give you and your sons (and/or grandsons) a
lot to choose from —
Tubing (with a tow rope for pulling you back up)
Skating, Hockey
Broomball, Ice Bowling
Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing
Ice Fishing
Gameroom
... or you can keep your toes warm by one of our fireplaces!
Our speakers for the 2012 chapel sessions are:
• January 6-8 and 13-15,
Tom Harmon,
itinerate preacher from Owosso, MI
• January 20-22,
Matt McAlvey,
associate pastor at Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio
(Facebook,
Twitter)
Younger sons are given the opportunity of attending sessions designed
just for them.
Chris Knobloch has agreed to return as our piano player and our
speaker for sons. Luke Cyrus is returning with his fiddle, guitar, and
mandolin. Tell your sons to expect a lot of fun, even as they learn
seriously solid truth.
The fee is $175 for father and son, $75 for each additional son. A
registration fee of $50 per person should be included with the
registration form (with the balance due on arrival). If you
need to cancel, the registration fee will be refunded if
requested at least two weeks prior to the event.
The weekend begins Friday evening with Snow Valley open, and a
buffet-style snack in the Dining Hall. Our time together will
conclude with an early lunch on Sunday.
