College/Career Retreat
Jan 6-8, 2012
![]() WHY AND WHAT? God's created world is a beautiful place, but the ethical landscape of the secular world is a barren and weary path. People long for the cool shade of Jesus, and we want Camp Barakel to be an oasis — providing shade and "Living Water." Barakel's 350 acres await you. The program will be fun, and you can choose between being relaxed and being exhausted.

This event is designed for single people in the first decade after high school (though we welcome "early marrieds" and "thirtysomethings" too). The retreat will begin Friday evening and continue unhurried through the Sunday noon meal. SPEAKER? Our speaker for 2012 is Doug Routledge. Doug has been speaking to others with passion for over two decades. He loves his life and calling, and speaks hundreds of times a year across the country at conferences, college campuses, churches and camps. He is best known for his ability to win his audience with his wit and hilarious stories and then his commitment to turning the spiritual corner into deep and profound life-changing truth in God’s word. Doug lives with his wife Dawn and their three children on a 105-acre farm with horses, goats, chickens and a cow named Jenny. He and Dawn are founders of a ministry called Crossroads Farm. HOW MUCH? The fee is $75 if you are a full-time college student, $95 if you are not. We hope the price break will encourage our poorer friends to get a group and come! $50 of your fee should be sent in with your registration form — the balance is due on your arrival. If you are unable to attend, and let us know by December 30, we will refund your deposit.
